The Pioneer Woman Rocks

My goal for the Fabulous Find Friday is to feature shops and blogs that I think are just amazing. This Friday, I am featuring The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond.

What can I say about her? She is amazing. She is hilarious. She is fun and down to earth. I find her fascinating and her life as a ranch wife is refreshing and charming (even though she gets down and dirty a lot). She touches on a wide range of subjects, but even a simple post about driving down the road can be hilarious and entertaining. I am so grateful that she has chosen to share her life with all us strangers! So if you haven't "gotten to know" her yet, please check out her blog.

It all started one day when I was surfing around in my feed reader and someone mentioned her. They shouted praises and she just happened to have her latest installment of Black Heels to Tractor Wheels up. I read the post and then spent over two hours reading ALL THE POSTS and all the posts referenced inside the posts. I was an instant fan.

Then she redesigned her blog and added lots of fun categories. Confessions, Cooking, Photography, Home/Garden and Homeschooling.

I have made several recipes and YUMMMDELICIOUS. They were a hit. This week she is doing a cookie week. I salivate just looking at the pictures.

I have also gotten a lot out of her photography section. The tips and tricks are amazing and useful and she has even put out some actions for us to use for free in Photoshop.

Check her out. I can't get enough. When my reader shows that she has posted a new entry, I get a little giddy.

Happy Friday!

Ginger Man House!

Yesterday, while braving the massive crowds joining us Christmas shopping, we spotted a Gingerbread House Kit at Target. It was the typical impulse buy as it was near the check stand, was $8.00 and was sparkling in all of its holiday promises.

I pointed to it and cocked my head at my husband. "Ba Humbug!" he said. Well, not really. But what sold him was IT WAS ONLY EIGHT DOLLARS. How can you go wrong?

We told our little one tonight that we were going to decorate the house. Her excitement alone was MORE than worth the price. ;) She oozed cuteness and excitement. Big eyed, she got messy and had a blast.

This one here is the "Mommy Ginger Man". I am not sure why this one is the mommy. Maybe I'm just too sweet! Or lumpy... the one behind the mommy, the one with the peppermint candy sticking out of his mouth, is the daddy. If you knew my husband, you'd understand why I find this funny.

Here is the Christmas tree. What do you mean you can't tell that's a Christmas tree?

Ah, the close up of the "Daddy Ginger Man". He's being gagged! I wonder what this says about...oh, never mind. ;)

Sticky candy hands. YUM!

Fabulous Find Friday!

For our first ever Fabulous Find Friday I would like to feature a cute shop that I just love.

Dog Bone Art has cute plushies, stickers, totes and clothing featuring their original characters. All items are screen printed by hand by Laura and she is just amazing! She is a painter and illustrator and has such a sassy, fun style!

The Pirate Cupcake is a favorite of mine...we have a Pirate Cupcake sticker on our refrigerator at home.

My husband's nickname is Monkey, so I bought a version of this design in a men's size:

All of their designs are cute, funky and so original! I just love them. This one is Nervous Robot. He's on a onesie. I wonder what he's nervous about. Hmmm...considering I just went through the onesie stage I can only imagine! ha!

Market bags are all the rage right now! We have a bunch of market bags to help eliminate our use of plastic at the grocery store. This one is not only durable, but so cute! We have the Injured Panda character on another T-Shirt for my husband. He's kind of spoiled.

Just in time for the Holidays, there are these super cute candy cane stickers! They are sure to make any gift or envelope stand out.

I'm a huge fan of DogBone Art on ETSY! I hope you check them out! You can find more information on Dog Bone Art here:

Whew!

Oh my goodness gracious!

I finally got my new listings posted at ETSY and ARTFIRE.

I ran into a lot of weird glitches which almost made me insane. ha!

If anyone pops by here, leave me your shop url in the comments! I'd love to check you out!

Big Day

I spent this weekend in the mix of it all. Trying to find time to spend with my beautiful daughter and trying to put some finishng touches on my new printable card collection!

I tweaked and printed and folded and cut and photographed for over 8 hours on Saturday. My wonderful husband took the small fry out to do some Christmas shopping so I could just crank it all out. He's so wonderful!

I still have a lot to finish up and plan on listing today on Etsy!

We still had time to enjoy two fabulous holiday light fun filled evenings and went to a brunch on Sat. So I'd say the mix of work and family this weekend was a success!

This is a cool photo my husband took of a Christmas tree in our town square!
